‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ Program Held

Hyderabad: The Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB) under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB), today organised a programme ‘Swachhata Hi Seva” on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Rahul Bharadwaj, Executive Director, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL) said that the Mahatma’s teachings were relevant even today. Mahatma Gandhi is the embodiment of the most noble qualities like truthfulness, non-violence, fearlessness, compassion and equanimity.

Earlier, TVK Reddy, Addl. Director General (Region), Regional Outreach Bureau, said that the programme was being organised to mark the beginning of the year long celebrations of the 150th birth anniversary of the Mahatma. He said Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals have to be guiding principles. S.S. Prasad, General Manager (HR), IOCL administered the Swachhta Pledge.

Song and Drama Division (S&DD), ROB artistes staged an impressive play on the various teachings of Mahatma Gandhi. Several Officials of PIB, ROB, DPD were also present.(NSS)
