New Delhi : Sripeetham Peethadipati Swami Paripurnanand today joined the BJP in the presence of party president Amit Shah. Paripurnanand Swami, who arrived here went to the residence of Amit Shah along with party national general secretary Ram Madhav and announced his decision to work for the party and joined the saffron party. Amit Shah welcomed him by putting a shawl and handed over membership slip to him. BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav was also present on the occasion.
Speaking to the media later, Swami Paripurnanand said the country was moving forward under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Swami said he did not expect any post in the party and he will strive to spread message of the BJP ideology in the country. He also thanked the people, particularly Telugu speaking people, who wholeheartedly extended support to him throughout his life till now.
Swami Paripurnanand said he was on a diksha on the occasion of Dassehra navaratri and had self-introspection about his joining BJP and his role in the party. After a thorough self-introspection, he finally decided to join the saffron party for spreading its ideology in the country, he said.
Swami paripurnanand said he will work for the party for 17 hours daily and will strive to protect dharma and culture in the country till his last breath. He also said he will stop his daily work of preaching of Baghawatgita and Saadana. After joining the BJP, his responsibility has increased, he said, adding continuing his preaching, he will also work to spread ideology of BJP.
Swami Paripurnanand was in the news since some time ago when the TRS government announced his externment from Hyderabad city. (NSS)
