Taliban To Allow Traders To Carry Weapons After General Public Ban

In the latest update, the Taliban-led government in Afghanistan has allowed the traders to carry weapons for protection after multiple business persons complained about their safety.

Taliban Is Committed To Protecting All Business Persons

As per the latest reports, Saeed Khostai, spokesman for the Interior Ministry said that the Taliban is committed to protecting the businessmen and the traders of the country. And once the technical issues are solved, they will allow them to carry weapons.

Ever since the Taliban took over Afghanistan on August 15, only the Taliban fighters were allowed to carry weapons and arms. And the general public was banned. Prior to this, the Afghan traders and investors would carry weapons and had armed security because of the increased cases of kidnapping, looting and money heisting.

NSA-level Afghanistan Conference Was In the “Better Interest” of Afghanistan 

This comes after, recently the first NSA Level Afghanistan conference in New Delhi was conducted on November 10. The Taliban however was not present for the conference but the Taliban’s spokesperson Zabiuhullah Mujahid said that the conference was in the “better interest” of Afghanistan. He further assured that Afghanistan will not be used against any other country.

He further added that they are optimistic that the meetings will benefit Afghanistan and help maintain stability and security in the region. Diplomats from various countries had attended the meeting except China and Pakistan to discuss how to engage with the new Taliban government.

Responding to the conference, Taliban spokesperson Suhail Shaheen said that the dialogue was a positive development. He agreed that the main agenda for the NSA meeting was to have unhindered access to humanitarian aid to the Afghans.
