Tamilnadu Chief Minister E. Palaniswami, Deputy Chief Minister O.Pannerselvam and senior Ministers of the State visited the DMK Chief and former Chief Minister of Tamilnadu M.Karunanidhi at the hospital today.
Later, Palaniswami and Panneerselvam were ushered into the ICU, where Karunanidhi is under round-the-clock monitoring of a team of expert doctors. The health of Karunanidhi suffered a temporary setback on Sunday evening, but his vital parameters slowly limped back to normalcy with active medical support. “I met DMK president and former chief minister M Karunanidhi at the ICU of the hospital along with deputy CM O Panneerselvam. Stalin and Kanimozhi were present when we visited the DMK chief,” Palaniswami told reporters outside the hospital.
The medical bulletin released by the hospital yesterday said that his health had suffered a transient setback and that his vital signs stabilised later.
