TDP Flays Govt on Irrigation Projects Cost Going up

Hyderabad: Telangana TDP today alleged that expenditure of irrigation projects has been increased rapidly due to inefficiency of the TRS government.

Speaking to media at NTR trust bhavan here, TDP leader and polit bureau member Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy demanded a white paper on the ongoing projects being constructed by the state government.

He said presently 34 projects are under construction and most of these projects were taken up during TDP government. The projects expenditure has increased because of re-designing ,re-engineering by the KCR government, he alleged.

Criticising the TRS government, Ravula said irrigation projects become sources of income for ruling party leaders. He alleged that the state was rich at the time of its formation and has additional revenue, but now it has trapped with a Rs two lakh crore debt.(NSS)
