Hyderabad: The BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre was allocating more funds for the construction of statues than for building a capital for Andhra Pradesh state.
This charge was made by TDP member Jayadev Gall while speaking on the no confidence motion against the Modi Government in the Lok Sabha on Friday. Giving statistics about various central allocations, he referred to the funds released by the NDA Government to Maharashtra State for building the statue of Chatrapati Shivaji. ” While the Modi Government is releasing huge funds for the statue, it is not bothered to allocate the promised financial assistance to AP Government for building its capital at Amaravathi”, he quipped.
The TDP member charged that the AP Government and the people of the state have been waiting for the last four years for the required financial assistance promised by the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister. We have been betrayed and deceived till date. Now its is a war against the Modi Government by the people of the state. It is a dharma poratam for justice, he observed. (NSS).
