Telangana Chief Minister Commends Tribal Development Initiatives on World Adivasi Day

Hyderabad:Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Raocomplimented Telangana for its outstanding efforts in executing different tribal development programmes. On the occasion of ‘World Adivasi Day’ on August 9, the Chief Minister conveyed greetings to tribal people and highlighted the state’s commitment to their well-being.

KCR emphasized that Telangana has successfully implemented a variety of welfare initiatives over the last nine years, resulting in a good shift in tribal people’s lives. He emphasized the government’s fulfillment of tribal warrior Kumaram Bheem’s ambitions, notably in the areas of water supply, irrigation facilities, and forest protection.

The Chief Minister emphasized the successful distribution of Podu land pattas to tribal tribes, which made Telangana the third-largest state to give more than 4 lakh acres of Podu lands to 1.50 lakh tribal persons. He also mentioned the assistance provided to tribal farmers through initiatives like as Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima, as well as the promotion of tribal habitations to Gram Panchayat status.

KCR underlined that implementing 10% reservation for tribals in education and job sectors was an important step toward achieving their proportional participation. He also listed several activities aimed at promoting tribal culture and traditions, such as the official organization of tribal festivals.

The state has built Atma Gaurava structures in commemoration of tribal stalwarts Kumram Bheem and Sant Sewalal, and it is aggressively investing in Gurukula education and international education options for tribal students.
