Hyderabad: M Mahender Reddy Telangana Director General of Police urged public not to believe rumors being circulated in social media as there were no inter-state kidnapping gangs active in the state.
DGP said it is unfortunate that the incidents happened in Bhimgal in Nizamabad district and Bibinagar in Yadadri district where two persons were killed on suspicion.
“In both cases, the victims were innocent and not related to any gangs. But when they were caught by the locals and questioned, they could not give satisfactory answers and were killed,” Mr Reddy said.
The DGP said that there were no information as inter-state gangs being active in the State and if there were any reports, the police is capable in nabbing them.
The DGP also requested citizens to inform police on Dial-100 if they find anyone suspicious and assured that police will be available at the spot and take action against the miscreants.
