India’s largest aquarium, aviary, and boardwalk are currently being constructed at the Kothwalguda Eco Park.
Asked on Twitter if Hyderabad can have a tunnel aquarium under its lake, KTR responded that the initiative has already been taken.
He added that special chief secretary Arvind Kumar would be sharing pictures and details of the ongoing works shortly. The Telangana IT minister KT Rama Rao laid the foundation stone for the Eco Park at Kothwalguda and inaugurated the Landscape Eco Park at Osman Sagar in October 2022. HMDA officials were also instructed to take up more development works in Rajendra Nagar assembly segments at that time.

The Kothwalguda Eco-Park, according to the HMDA, includes, in addition to gazebos and pergolas, a six-acre aviary, a 2.5-kilometre boardwalk, an aquarium, a butterfly garden, a sensory park, an open-air theatre, flora, and landscaping. Aside from four food courts, the HMDA has proposed opulent timber cabins, camping tents, an infinity pool, and a conference hall.

KTR reviews ongoing projects in preparation for monsoon
KT Rama Rao held a review meeting of nala and other projects on Saturday to assess the city’s and Telangana’s readiness for the upcoming monsoon season.
The minister directed both elected representatives and officials to complete any unfinished duties by June 1 in order to avoid flooding and inconvenience to the public.
KTR reviewed the status of the Strategic Nala Development Programme (SNDP) and other ongoing projects.
The meeting was attended by MLAs from Musheerabad, Amberpet, LB Nagar, Jubilee Hills, Kukatpally, Malkajgiri, Quthbullapur, Serilingampally, and other constituencies.
