Telangana Extends Deadline for Ration Card e-KYC Process

The Telangana government has extended the deadline for completing the e-KYC (Know Your Customer) process for ration cards. The e-KYC process has been ongoing at Telangana State ration shops for the past two months.

The Commissioner of Civil Supplies, Devendra Singh Chouhan, issued an order on Saturday extending the deadline for ration card e-KYC in Telangana to January 31, 2024.

This extension is intended to help citizens in Hyderabad and other districts of the state who have not yet finished the e-KYC process for their ration cards.

Additionally, applications for new ration cards, as well as Praja Palana forms, are being accepted at specified centers. There is no distinct form for new ration cards, and applications can be made on plain paper by supplying details. Contrary to popular belief, income certificates are not required for new ration cards. Existing ration cardholders must complete the e-KYC process, while new applications can be submitted at Telangana Praja Palana locations.
