Telangana Government Approves Fee Hike for Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Other Institutions

The Telangana government accepted the Admission and Fee Regulation Committee’s (AFRC) recommendations, resulting in a considerable rise in the fee structure for Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology (MJ CET). The cost was Rs. 1.1 lakh per annum during the 2021-22 academic year, but it has now been raised to Rs. 1.25 lakh per annum, a 13 percent increase. MJ CET now has the highest tuition among the state’s Muslim minority engineering institutes.

Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology (MGIT) has the highest cost of any private engineering institution in Telangana, charging Rs. 1.6 lakh per student per year for the next three years. The Lords Institute of Engineering and Technology is the second-most expensive among Muslim minority colleges, with engineering degrees costing Rs. 93,000 per year.
