Telangana govt allows ticket price increase for film ‘RRR’

The Telangana government has allowed a ticket price increase for SS Rajamouli’s much-anticipated film ‘RRR,’ which will be released worldwide in a few days.

The Telangana government has agreed to raise the prices for ‘RRR’ and set special ticket prices that will be in effect for ten days from the film’s release date. After that, normal ticket prices must be implemented in accordance with the rules.

The Telangana government has given a green light to screen five shows from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. for the first ten days.

Starting March 25, the multiplexes will have Rs 70 and Rs 100 (normal and recliner) extra for three days and Rs 50 extra for the next seven days, giving the much-anticipated film a boost.

In the case of AC single screens, additional fees of Rs 50 will be permitted for the first three days following the film’s release, and Rs 30 for the next seven days.

Two days after the government of Andhra Pradesh issued a new Government Order, the film ‘RRR’ for Telangana’s first weekend will see additional rates.

‘RRR,’ starring Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Alia Bhatt, and others, will be released on March 25 in multiple languages worldwide.

Previously, Rajamouli hinted that ‘RRR’ could have paid premieres in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. However, it appears that the paid premieres plan has been cancelled.

While it is unknown why the premieres were cancelled, the rumour is that RRR’s distributors decided against the paid premieres option. Instead, they are said to have chosen the early shows proposal, as part of which RRR’s shows will begin at 4 a.m. on March 25.

The idea of paid premieres piqued the interest of fans, and trade analysts predicted that the prospect of premieres would boost RRR’s theatrical revenues in the twin Telugu states. The latest developments, however, indicate that there will be no paid premieres for the film.
