Telangana: Haj Season 2018 Concludes Successfully

Hyderabad: With the arrival of the last Special Haj Flight with 240pilgrims from Madeenah KSA the Haj Season 2018 concluded successfully. As many as 7303pilgrims from Hyderabad Embarkation Point returned safely after performing Haj and visiting the Tomb of Holy Prophet in Madeenah.

Chairman Telangana State Haj committee, Mr. Mohammed Masiullah Khan, Special Officer Prof. S. A. Shukoor and Chairman Telangana State Minorities Commission Mr. Mohammed Qamruddin received the pilgrims at the Haj Terminal. Mr. Abu Talha Amjad, Dr. Aqeel Hashmi and Mr. Mohammed Arifuddin Members, Mr. Irfan Shareef Asst. Secretary Haj Committee and officers of various departments were present on this occasion.

Five Litre Zam Zam water cans were distributed among the pilgrims on this occasion.

Altogether 7347 pilgrims had left for the pilgrimage from Hyderabad Embarkation Point, of which 4453 belonged to Telangana, 1711 to AP and 1183 to Karnataka. While 7301 pilgrims arrived by 25 Special haj Flights 46 returned early. 10 infants also returned along with their parents. There were five death cases of which three are from Telangana, one each from AP and Karnataka. Still 5 pilgrims are left in KSA of which two are undergoing treatment in hospitals. Baggage of all the pilgrims has also reached and handed over to the pilgrims.

Meanwhile Chairman State haj committee Mr. Mohammed Maasiullah Khan and Special Officer Prof. S. A. Shukoor thanked all the departments and agencies for their cooperation for safe departure and arrival of haj pilgrims from Hyderabad Embarkation Point.
