Telangana police bags ‘Police Institutional Award’ for best performance in passport

New Delhi: Union Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj present the awards at the annual Passport Seva Divas and Passport Officers’ Conference held in New Delhi.

Telangana Police has once again been adjudged the best state police in the country for their outstanding work in police verification and has achieved this distinction for the third consecutive year, Hyderabad Regional Passport Officer E Vishnu Vardhan Reddy said.

Telangana Director General of Police M Mahendra Reddy has received ‘Police Institutional Award’ from Union Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj . The Telangana State police have stood first in passport verification when compared to other States for the year 2017-18.

The State Police has completed the Police Verification of 4,20,597 Passport Applications during the period from April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018 with an average period of 4 days for verification.
