Nizamabad: In a shocking incident, a block-level public representative in Telangana kicked a woman after she hit him with a ‘chappal’ over a land issue on Sunday.
According to victim Rajavva belongs Gouraram village, MPP asked money additionally after the registration of the site. Vexed Rajavva staged dharna in front of MPP’s residence along with her relatives. While seeing the dharna, irate MPP entered into argument with Rajavva. In the process, Rajavva beat MPP with chappal. Angered MPP kicked the woman in fit of rage.
The visuals of kicking the woman by MPP became viral in social media.
Mandal Parishad President (MPP) Immadi Gopi, who belongs to the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), has been charged with assaulting the woman, A. Rajavva, and criminal intimidation.
On a complaint by Gopi, the police also booked the woman and her relatives for trespass and damaging his property.
Nizamabad district police on Monday arrested the Mandal Parishad Preident (MPP) Immadi Gopi for kicking a woman over a property issue.
