Telangana: TB patients in Siddipet to receive nutrition kits for six months

In order to speed up the recovery of tuberculosis patients, Finance and Health Minister T Harish Rao has decided to provide a nutrition kit for six months at no cost to each TB patient in the Siddipet Assembly Constituency.

As there are currently 265 identified TB patients in the constituency, the Health Minister has directed that the kit be prepared with 30 eggs, one kilogram of dal, three kilograms of rice, and 300 grams of cow ghee. The THR (Thanneeru Harish Rao) Nutrition Kit has been named after the Minister by health department officials. The kit will be given to each patient for at least six months.

Because the majority of TB patients come from low-income families and are unaware of the importance of eating healthy foods, the Minister stated that he wanted to provide them with a nutrition kit so that they could recover quickly from the disease.

Since the patients were unable to work during the period, the Health Minister stated that it came to his attention that they could not afford to buy nutritious food, which aids in their recovery. Rao stated that the assistance will boost the patient’s morale.

According to the Siddipet district health department, there were 902 TB patients. The Minister has been thanked by TB patients and their families for his concern for them.

Aasara Pension Cards

T Harish Rao took part in the distribution of Aasara Pension Cards to dialysis patients at the Indian Institute of Health and Family Welfare in Vengalarao Nagar, Hyderabad. Harish Rao stated that Aasara pensions and identity cards were distributed to five thousand dialysis patients across the state.

Harish stated, “I am very happy that Chief Minister KCR is providing an Aasara pension to dialysis patients, I am thankful to him. Telangana State is the only state in the country that provides pensions to dialysis patients. This was possible only under the leadership of the Chief Minister. The government has allocated 100 crores in the budget for kidney patients. Telangana is the only first state to introduce a single use filter for dialysis patients.”
