Telugu States sore over Budget ignoring their issuesl

Hyderabad: The Telugu States today expressed displeasure at the Union Budget for ignoring their issues. TRS MP Nama Nageshwar Rao and YSRCP Parliamentary Party leader Vijaya Sai Reddy have criticized the Union budget for no mention of their issues.

Reacting on the Union budget outside Parliament House, Nageshwar Rao said the issues raised by Telangana State were ignored by Sitharaman. He sought to know as to why the bifurcation issues were not included in the budget. There are no allocations to the irrigation projects and bifurcation, he charged.

Telangana State growth rate is 18 percent and the Centre is just half of it and though no major steps were shown to surpass financial slowdown, he said. He also said the budget lacks steps to boot financial conditions in the wake of slump effect and expressed surprise that the Centre did not make any specific allocations to Telangana State developing in all sectors. He said the Union budget ignored our appeal to set up a tribal museum.

AP MP Vijaya Sai Reddy described the Union budget as hopeless. He said the Union budget ignored their issues. Stating that AP was relying on agriculture and the budget failed to make specific allocations, Vijaya Sai said the budget was of no much use to Andhra Pradesh State. The Centre has to see that the AP gets its share of agriculture and others. Insurance value of depositors was increased to Rs 5 lakh from Rs 1 lakh is good and there are some negative points too, he added.
