Telugu States urged to provide medical seats to SC, ST, BC under NRI quota

New Delhi: Parents Association president Venugopal has stated that the SC, ST and BC students faced injustice in medical counseling in two Telugu States.

Speaking to the media here on Friday, Venugopal said 550 SC, ST and BC students in Andhra Pradesh and 250 SC, ST and BC students in Telangana were meted out injustice in the Medical counseling. He demanded that the two Telugu State governments provide seats in NRI quota to the students who were affected by G.O.No. 550.

Venugopal alleged that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Acchennaidu, who assured that they will do justice to the SC, ST and BCs, did injustice to the BC, SC and ST students in counseling. The Universities also completed second phase medical counseling in a hurry. He lamented that BC, SC and ST students were meted out injustice in a big way due to High Court verdict.

Parents Association president Koteshwara Rao expressed happiness over the Supreme Court upholding G.O.No. 550. He said about 500 students were meted out injustice due to Supreme Court’s announcement that it will not interfere in the medical counseling held as per High Court’s verdict. He said that they will file a review petition on Supreme Court’s verdict to ensure justice to the losing students. He alleged that the situation was arisen due to dominating castes. He alleged that the Kaloji Health University and NTR Health University’s officials did injustice to the BC, SC and ST students by conducting counseling in a hurry. (NSS)
