Gloomy weather interrupts Indian Racing League

The inaugural edition of the Indian Racing League (IRL) returned to Hyderabad for the fourth round last week, but the races were postponed due to rain, at India’s first street circuit – Hyderabad Street Circuit – on the banks of Hussain Sagar Lake in Hyderabad.

Due to safety concerns, the first round races in Hyderabad on November 20 were canceled, while the second and third rounds were held in Chennai. The IRL returned to Hyderabad for the final leg only to the disappointment of the fans. Due to visibility issues, the morning weather was not clear enough to hold the scheduled Qualifying races.

However, the free practice session was held in the evening for 40 minutes and was also flagged multiple times.

The fans who had gathered to see the cars in action were able to catch a glimpse of it in the evening. The qualifying races were postponed due to a lack of light in the evening.
