Three people were arrested by Ghatkesar police in Hyderabad for making unwanted calls and messages to women on social media. The arrest was made in response to a complaint submitted by a college principal, who stated that female college students were receiving abusive and vulgar messages and phone calls from unknown numbers.
After following the calls, the police nabbed Laxmi Ganesh (20), Kothagiri Veera babu (20), and Chittiboina Durga Raju (25), at Vijayawada and Kakinada. Ganesh, one of the accused, was shown to have a history of harassing women via phone calls and text messages. As part of their investigation, the police also seized smartphones belonging to the accused persons.
