Three Vietnamese Cities to Have Direct Flights from Hyderabad Starting in October

By the month of October, VietJet will operate three direct flights from Hyderabad to Vietnam, a country renowned for its scenic mountains, beaches, and rice terraces.

It is reported that VietJet will offer direct flights from Hyderabad to Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, and Da Nang, according to a press release from GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL), which operates Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. With the launch of VietJet’s non-stop service to multiple cities in Vietnam, RGIA will be the first airport in South India from which the service will be offered.

The maiden flights to Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang are scheduled to take off on October 7, October 9, and November 29, respectively. Four times a week, each service will operate between RGIA and Vietnamese cities.

According to Pradeep Panicker, CEO of GHIAL, “Vietjet’s new direct flights will not only boost leisure tourism in Hyderabad but will also facilitate trade and commerce to stimulate businesses across sectors.”

By the end of the year, Vietjet will expand its India-Vietnam flight network to 17 routes as a result of the overwhelming response from Indian travelers.

Tourism is a key pillar of Vietnam’s economic development. With the Covid-19 pandemic fading, over 3.5 lakh international visitors visited Vietnam in July, up 49 percent from June, thanks to the online visa application process.

With beaches, mountains, valleys, and exotic lakes, Vietnam is a great travel destination for nature lovers, outdoor enthusiasts, and holidaymakers. The press release also noted that Vietnam is home to eight UNESCO world heritage sites and a popular destination for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) for business travelers.

Through bilateral conferences and other activities, including sponsored business trips, Vietnam actively encourages Indians to visit their country.
