Nizamabad : A 22-year-old youth of Gonugoppula village in Bheemgal mandal in the district was washed away in Kappalavagu check dam in Gonugoppula village while taking Tik-Tak video on Friday.
Police said three days back, Indrapuri Dinesh, Manoj Goud and Ganga Jalam of the village went to see the Gonugoppula stream check-dam and tried to prepare tiktok videos. Manoj Goud and Gangajalam, who shot tiktok videos on Dinesh, the flood in the stream increased and the three youth washed away in the gushing waters. While Manoj Goud and Gangajalam managed to escape, Dinesh who stood in the middle of the stream was washed way.
Villagers and family members of Dinesh vainly searched for him in the stream since the last three days. On information, police and Revenue officials searched for Dinesh with the help of local swimmers. Later, the NDRF team was pressed into service, who on Sunday morning found the body a kilometer away from check-dam. District Collector MRM Rao supervised the rescue operation since the last two days. (NSS)
