TITA opens new Chapter in Uruguay

Uruguay: Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) has opened another Chapter in a Latin American nation. The association with its roots in Hyderabad representing IT entrepreneurs, employees and students has opened its Chapter in Uruguay’s capital Montevideo. The Chapter appointed a committee. TITA appointed Bairaboina Nairanjan as its President, Buddineni Raghunath as Vice President, Eleti Mahipal Reddy as Chief Secretary, Santosh Kumar as joint Secretary, Revanth Karne and Nagendra Kumar as General Secretaries, and Jashwant Kumar as Treasurer.

TITA which played a crucial role in the Telangana movement too progressive steps for the benefit of the IT professionals even after the formation of the State. The association has been taking initiatives not only in encouraging the art and culture of the State but also taking part in crucial government initiatives. It has also been getting the support of NRIs to fund the Telangana State Incubation Centres. The association has supported Telangana government in making the e-wallet adoption successful. For this contribution, TITA has received State awards for consecutive three years. It has also bagged two national-level Skoch awards.

Speaking on the occasion of formation of the Uruguay Chapter, Bairaboina Nairanjan said TITA has enabling growth of the industry in Hyderabad which currently employs 5 lakh professionals directly and 12 lakh indirectly. He said the association representing professionals, entrepreneurs, students, NRIs had spread its wings across the world bringing connecting people from the State wherever they are. Uruguay Chapter now adds another key milestone, he said.

The Uruguay Chapter will work towards meeting the interests and needs of techies living in the nation as well their families. The Chapter will also propagate and share the growing opportunities for employment and business in the region, said Niranjan. About 50 professionals gathered at the Chapter opening at Uruguay’s capital Montevideo. At a time when technology professionals and students are facing restraints in the US, Latin American nations could emerge as alternatives for them.

TITA Global President Sundeep Kumar Makthala speaking on the occasion of new Chapter in Uruguay, said the association has two months ago opened its Chapter in Mexico and now the new Chapter has come up in Uruguay. He pointed out that Uruguay offers wide opportunities for techies looking for career options in the Latin American region. He promised that the association will work closely with the State government and extend all the needed support for the professionals working and living in Uruguay. He pleaded the NRIs to adopt villages in Telangana in an effort to bring in digital literacy to people across the State. He sought the members in Uruguay to strengthen the association’s efforts in boosting innovation, investments and employment in the State. (NSS)
