TPCC slams Union ministers for making confusing statements

Hyderabad: TPCC spokesperson G. Niranjan on Saturday alleged that BJP leaders were making baseless statements against their party. He also alleged that Union ministers Amit Shah, Nirmala Sitaraman and G. Kishan Reddy were making statements that are shameful.

Talking to the media here today, Niranjan said the Union ministers appear to be shocked at the ongoing agitation and making statements like “insane” persons now. He made it clear that it was the BJP leaders, who had not only committed sedition but also destroyed the integrity of the country. Making it clear that Congress was not against the refugees, he said the party was opposed to granting of Citizenship on the basis of religion.

Stating that the controversial Citizen Amendment Act was full of mistakes, he said it would have been better if the bill was introduced without taking the names of the religions. He alleged that the Act was introduced as a precursor to NRC. He demanded that the Centre instill confidence in all sections of society.
