Rachakonda Commissioner of Police Tarun Joshi has announced traffic diversions for Thursday due to an IPL match taking place at Uppal Stadium. Invoking Section 21 clause (1) & (b) of the Hyderabad City Police Act, 1348 Fasli, he aims to ensure smooth traffic flow and minimize inconvenience for the public during the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.
From 4 pm to 11:50 pm, traffic diversions will be in effect in the Uppal Traffic police station limits. The affected heavy vehicles include lorries, dumpers, earth-movers, water tankers, RMC trucks, and other large trucks.
Traffic coming from Chengicherla, Boduppal, and Peerzadiguda towards Uppal will be rerouted to HMDA Bhaghyath layout and Nagole, with the diversion point located opposite Toyota Showroom on HMDA Bhaghyath Road.

Those traveling from LB Nagar to Nagole and Uppal will be diverted via Nagole Metro Station to HMDA Layout, Boduppal, and Chengicherla Cross Road, with the diversion point located at the Nagole Metro Station U-turn.
Traffic from Tarnaka to Uppal will be redirected towards Nacharam and IOCL Cherlapally, with the diversion point at Habsiguda Cross Roads. These measures aim to manage traffic effectively and ensure public safety during the event.
