Traffic restrictions at Balkampet due to Yellamma Kalyanam

In view of the Yellamma Kalyanam, the Hyderabad Traffic Police announced traffic restrictions around the Yellamma Devasthanam in Balkampet. The restrictions will last from July 4 to July 6.

There will be a large number of devotees attending Kalyanotsavam on 5 July and Rathotsavam on 6 July. It is expected that traffic around Yellamma Temple will be moderately congested with devotees and their vehicles.

Diversion points

The traffic coming from Greenlands, Matha Temple, Satyam Theatre going to Fateh Nagar will be diverted at SR Nagar T Junction towards SR Nagar community hall – Abilasha Towers – BK Guda crossroads – Sriram Nagar crossroads – SR Nagar / Fateh Nagar Road.

In the same way, traffic heading towards Balkampet from Fateh Nagar flyover will be diverted via New Bridge towards Kattamaisamma Temple and Begumpet.

Traffic from Greenlands – Bakul Apartments – Food World will not be permitted to enter Balkampet and instead will be diverted at Food World crossroads toward Sonabai Temple – Satyam Theater – Maithrivanam / SR Nagar T junction.

The traffic from Begumpet, Kattamaisamma Temple towards Balkampet will be diverted to Greenlands – Matha Temple – Satyam Theatre – SR Nagar T Junction left turn to SR Nagar Community Hall.

The by-lanes and link roads from SR Nagar ‘T’ junction to Fateh Nagar will be kept closed.

  1. R & B Office
  2. GHMC ground
  3. Padma Shree towards Nature Cure Hospital roadside Parking
  4. Fateh Nagar under the Railway Bridge

This year’s Kalyanam at Balkampet Yellamma temple will be spectacular. While Bonalu is being celebrated in grand style, CM K Chandrashekhar Rao has made certain that festivals from all regions are also celebrated in grand style.

To ensure that devotees have a comfortable and peaceful darshan, necessary arrangements such as health camps, road restoration leading to the temple, sanitation, security, and barricades will be put in place. This time, devotees will be given barcoded darshan passes.
