In anticipation of the upcoming Men’s ICC ODI World Cup cricket matches scheduled from October 6 to 10, Rachakonda Traffic Police Commissioner DS Chauhan unveiled a comprehensive traffic management plan for the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal. The plan includes various measures to ensure smooth traffic flow during the event.

To accommodate the influx of spectators and heavy vehicles on ICC ODI World Cup match days, there will be specific diversions in place on October 6, 9, and 10, from 12:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. These diversions are as follows:

Meanwhile, those arriving from Route 2 (Amberpet to Uppal X Road, LB Nagar to Uppal X Road, and Warangal Highway to Uppal X Road) can park at Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV)-1 to DSL Mall (both sides), Cine Polis, DSL Mall, Eenadu office lane, Modern Bakery, LG Godowns to NSL Buildings, Open Land of DSL, Shakti Detergent Land, and Church Colony Road. These parking locations cater to all categories of ticket holders.

Commissioner DS Chauhan emphasized that approximately 250 traffic personnel will be deployed during the match days to implement the traffic management plan effectively. The plan is organized into eight sectors, covering areas in and around the stadium, including parking areas for spectators, crucial junctions for general traffic, roads leading to the stadium, and contingency divisions.

In total, there are 18 parking locations available for both four-wheelers and two-wheelers to accommodate cricket enthusiasts. Spectators arriving via Route Nol will also find suitable parking options.

This comprehensive traffic management plan is aimed at ensuring the safety and convenience of all attendees during the Men’s ICC ODI World Cup matches at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal.
