Tragic Suicide of Engineering Graduate in Telangana Over Exam Stress

Gugulothu Raj Kumar, a 26-year-old engineering graduate, allegedly committed sucide on Monday night because he was afraid of failing the Telangana government’s AEE (Assistant Executive Engineer) examination. Raj Kumar was a student at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in the Warangal area.

After comparing his answers to the official key published by the government, the young guy apparently grew depressed. Furthermore, the postponing of Group-II exams appeared to have added to his anguish. Raj Kumar tragically committed himself by hanging himself at his home in Mahabubabad.

According to the authorities, Raj Kumar was alone at home when he took this severe move. Based on a complaint filed by the victim’s father, a case has been registered under Section 174 (providing for the compilation of an inquest report) of the CrPC. Raj Kumar’s body was brought to the Thorrur Government Hospital for a post-mortem examination following the event.

In response to the occurrence, A Revanth Reddy, president of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee, turned to Twitter to share his thoughts. Revanth Reddy blamed the Telangana government for the tragic situation, claiming that Raj Kumar died as a result of the administration’s perceived flaws in conducting examinations rather than despair. He summoned IT Minister KTR (K. T. Rama Rao) to address the issue, particularly in view of the government’s commitments to create jobs in the state.
