Hyderabad: M. Dana Kishore, DEO & Commissioner, GHMC said that training has been imparted today in two shifts to the Presiding and Asst. Presiding Officers numbering 9795, at 9 centres with regard to 15 Assembly Constituencies of Hyderabad District where the DEO has participated in two centres, one at Muffakamja College, Banjara Hills and another one at Harihara Kala Bhavan, Secunderabad.
While interacting with the Presiding Officers and Assistant Presiding Officers, the DEO said that everyone must be thorough with the handbook of Presiding Officers with which they will be able to know how to perform the duties on the poll day and also how to receive the polling material from the distribution centres and what all should be done during the process of polling at the polling stations as per the guidelines given by the ECI.
The DEO further enquired some of the POs and APOs about the functioning of EVMs and VVPATs and explained in detail about the process of both the machines with modernized technology and given certain directions to perform their duties with clear transparency any doubts with regard to various issues must be clarified with the concerned Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers so that there should not be any scope of problems to face on polling day and they must know the clear picture about the voting process so that they may give certain instructions to the other polling officers while performing their duties in the polling stations assigned to them.(NSS)
