TRS opposes farm laws, abstain from parliament walk out : Keshava Rao

HYDERABAD: TRS Parliamentary party leader in upper house K Keshava Rao today said that the party has opposed three farm laws of the center, even as the farmer’s protests turned violent as associations split on the same.

We support MSP for farm produce to protect their interests he said.

Talking to media persons in Delhi Keshava Rao said that they abstained from walking out of the presidential address of the parliament session to not to support the violence that took place at Red fort on Jan 26.

The Opposition parties staged a walkout during the Ramnath Kovind joint address of the parliament.  The TRS MP accused the center of failing to follow the federal spirit.
He stated that the center ignored their plea to send a related report to the select committee in this regard. The center cannot farmers demands as the agitation took a serious turn he said.

Bifurcation promises are still kept pending by the center he alleged. We have no objection to more reservations offered for people Keshava Rao said.  The TRS demands a debate on OBC reservations in the parliament he said.

Another MP Namaste Nageshwar Rao said that they will work with the center to get funds for highways,  railways, and development.  We will talk in the parliament in this regard he said.  Nageshwar Rao has urged the center to head to farmers’ demands for MSP and others.

Telangana is ideal in the nation by implementing several welfare programs,  he added.
