Hyderabad: TRS spokesperson Karne Prabhakar today lashed out at the BJP leadership for promoting another Swami of Andhra Pradesh for “dirty” politics in Telangana. He warned the BJP of dire consequences if Paripurnananda Swami tried to give “Andhra sermons” in Telangana and provoke communal sentiments.
Addressing the media at Telangana Bhavan here today, the TRS spokesperson said Paripurnananda Swami was day dreaming that the BJP would sweep the polls and he would become Chief Minister. The BJP was relying purely on religion card and roped in Paripurnananda Swamy for the polls in Telangana of no use, he said.
He also expressed displeasure at Union Minister Smrithi Irani for her comments that the TRS regime has failed to keep the promises made to people. He also took a dig at Smrithi Irani for her allegations that the KCR Government has deliberately avoided to implement the Centre’s “Ayushmanbhava” scheme. The State Government has successfully launched the Arogyasri scheme and shifting dead bodies by using a vehicle from hospitals to their residences. The Union minister should know about such facility being implemented only in Telangana State.
“Can Smrithi Irani say that similar service of shifting corpses to the homes was being implemented in any other State in the country”, he thundered. The BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre has deliberately failed to accord national status to Kaleshwaram project of Telangana despite repeated reminders in Parliament.
“We, the state government time and again appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give funds for people’s projects and development programs and flagship schemes in vain. Bifurcation promises were blatantly ignored by the Modi Government, including High Court and others, he alleged. (NSS)
