TRS Will Win MLC Polls, BJP Cheating Farmers: Harish Rao

Finance and Health Minister Harish Rao today stated that the TRS party will win the upcoming MLC polls under local bodies’ quota.

The Minister told media persons along with MLA Padma Devender Reddy in Medak district that the ruling party will surely win the polls as the people in the state are happy with the welfare schemes.

The minister said that the TRS will win two-thirds of the majority in the polls. The BJP which stated one vote and two states slogan in the Kakinada resolution in 1998 is trying to cheat farmers in our state, he alleged. The BJP talking of the farmers is like demons chanting Vedas, the minister ridiculed.

Harish Rao criticized the opposition parties for the blame game on the paddy procurement which is the responsibility of the Centre. The Centre has to give clarity and the BJP should stop false charges, he demanded.

We have been implementing several welfare schemes and development programs in the state. Huge funds are being spent for the development of the state since its inception, Harish Rao claimed. The minister stated that the state government is spending huge funds for welfare alone like no other state in the country. As much as Rs 60000 cr being spent a year for the welfare in the state, the minister stated. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao gets credit for the welfare and development, he said.

The Minister slammed the Opposition parties for their misinformation campaign on the development programs. The minister criticized that the opposition parties like the BJP and the Congress lack trust and failed to support development in the state. They have been coming in the way of the development and will not enjoy people’s support in the polls. He asked the state BJP leaders to mount pressure on the center to procure paddy from Telangana. He ridiculed the BJP leaders for trying to misguide the farmers at the IKP centers in the districts. They are facing the ire of the farmers for their misinformation campaign, he said.
