TSPSC paper leak case: Telangana HC directs SIT to submit report

On Friday, the Telangana High Court declined to issue any orders regarding a petition seeking a CBI investigation into the case of the TSPSC exam paper leak.

The court ordered the SIT to report on the investigation’s status on June 5. SIT’s investigation is somewhat satisfactory, but it is not progressing rapidly, according to the court.

A CBI investigation was requested by NSUI leader Venkat Balmoor. The Court made it clear that it couldn’t issue orders at this time.

Moreover, the court wanted to know how long SIT would take to complete the investigation. It noted that the investigation had not been completed even after a month and a half.

According to Advocate General B. S. Prasad, the SIT is awaiting the report from Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL).

Counsel for the SIT informed the court that the SIT had questioned TSPSC chairman, secretary, and member. The investigation was being conducted under the supervision of the Hyderabad police commissioner, the court was informed.

The court wanted to know if SIT questioned all outsourcing employees at TSPSC and how many people benefited from the leakage of papers. The court directed SIT to submit a report on June 5 on the progress made in the investigation and adjourned the hearing.
