TSRTC to launch water bottles; win prizes for naming them

A Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) said it would be offering 500 ml and 1-litre water bottles to help passengers bear the summer heat.

It is common knowledge that water is the best way to quench your thirst. Travelling by TSRTC buses and forgetting your water bottle at home is no longer an issue.

VC Sajjanar, the managing director of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC), announced on his official Twitter handle that 500 ml and 1 litre water bottles would be introduced for the first time.

As part of the competition, he asked Twitter users for suggestions for the bottle’s name and design, and the best one would receive a reward.

There are many Hyderabadis taking part in the competition. One Twitter user had written: Elixir from TSRTC. Water is the elixir of life. This name will arouse curiosity and a lot of people will refer to Google to get its meaning which is what is mentioned in the second sentence. Please use biodegradable bottles that can be specially ordered. Don’t use plastic.

Hyderabad Metro should also follow suit, according to another Twitter user.

The TSRTC will also be launching a home delivery and pick-up service so that customers can book and receive couriers without leaving the comfort of their homes.

In order to to make home delivery and pick up a robust engagement, VC Sajjanar sought delivery partners and channel service agents to join forces with TSRTC.
