Two city software engineers killed as lorry rams car

Kamareddy: Two software professionals were killed on the spot and two others injured grievously today when a lorry rammed the car in which they were traveling at a petrol pump on the national highway near Menuru village under Madnur mandal in the district.

The deceased were identified as Bandi Laxminarayan Reddy, 32, and Jaiswal Rajan, 26. Two others Komal and Vijay were grievously injured. The victims were returning from Shirdi.

Lakshminarayana Reddy hailed from Pulivendula town of Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh. The injured Komal and Vijaya of Bihar were shifted to Hyderabad for treatment. The two bodies were shifted to the Madnur government general hospital after an autopsy, said Sajid, local sub-inspector.

Two killed in Medak as SVU overturns

In another incident in Medak District, two persons were killed and two others received serious injuries when an SUV overturned on the outskirts of Medak town in the early hours of Monday. The deceased were identified as Jagadish, 32, and Abhilash, 26. The injured Kamalesh and Veeru were shifted to a hospital in Hyderabad after providing first-aid in a hospital in Medak. (NSS)
