Two female siblings crushed to death

Hyderabad : Two female siblings, aged six and three, who were injured after a pillar collapsed on them at a construction site at Gopanpally village under Chandanagar on Friday, died in the wee hours of Saturday. According to the police, the siblings identified as Ammulu, 6, and Pravalika, 3, were playing at the Bella Vista villas at Gopanpally on Friday evening. At around 7 pm, a cement brick pillar collapsed and the children were buried under it. The family members and locals brought them out and shifted them to a private hospital and later brought them to Gandhi Hospital. But they died while undergoing treatment at the Gandhi Hospital in the wee hours of Saturday. (NSS)
