Swachhata Pakhwara cleanliness drive

From September 16 to October 2, the South Central Railway (SCR) conducted the Swachhata Pakhwara (Fortnight) Cleanliness drive as part of the ‘Swachh Rail Swachh Bharat’ mission. Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, (In-Charge) SCR, also launched a signature campaign encouraging active participation in the cleanliness drive.

The Swachhata Pakhwara campaign aims to raise public, rail users, and railway fraternity awareness of the importance of ‘Swachh Rail Swachh Bharat.’ Several activities have also pledged to improve the level of cleanliness at railway offices, stations, and trains as part of this drive. Extensive public awareness campaigns will also be launched to educate people on the importance of maintaining good hygiene habits.

Arun Kumar encouraged officers and staff to actively participate in the Swachhata Campaign and to encourage family members and neighbors to join the Swachh Bharat mission. He stated that we should always try to keep our surroundings clean, whether at home or at work.

The Swachhata Pakhwara campaign will culminate on October 2nd, which will be observed as Sewa Diwas (Community Service Day) to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary.
