Uttam complains about no lighting arrangement in polling booths

Hyderabad: TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, who is contesting election from Nalgonda Lok Sabha constituency cast his vote at a polling station in EV Reddy College at Kodad.

Speaking on the occasion, Uttam said he was receiving complaints from several polling stations in the constituency that they did not have proper lighting arrangements to cast their votes. He urged the Election Commission to take steps for providing lighting facilities at all the polling stations. Reddy said if the Congress returns to power, it would implement its Rs 6,000 per month dole scheme immediately. He also said they would deposit Rs.72,000 per annum directly in the bank accounts of women members of poor families. He also said they would announce minimum support prices to all the farmers in the country. (NSS)
