To run the family, her dad Ashok went to selling vegetables, acquiring definitely short of what he did as a chaat dealer. The loans were mounting, given his descending spiraling pay, making it exorbitant to send his three youngsters to school.

In another Raebareli town, Fatima* Bano was a Class 9 student at an administration school for girls. She neither had a cell phone nor a TV to get to the public authority run training programs on Doordarshan.

“My teacher had said assuming we missed the mark on our cell phone, we didn’t need to study,” she shared.
