Hyderabad:Even as the Congress party has faced a humiliating defeat in the Huzurnagar Assembly by-election, senior Congress leader and former Rajya Sabha member, V Hanumantha Rao made sensational remarks on Thursday, after the election results were out.
Reacting on the poll verdict, VH said there was need for a proper analysis and assessment on the party’s defeat. He said the party should learn lessons from the defeat. He took exception to giving prime posts to those who had come from the other parties. He flayed party working president Revanth Reddy also and said Revanth became aggressive as he had money. He also alleged that Revanth campaigned that Congress victory will benefit only Uttam Kumar Reddy.
VH further stated that he is in the race for TPCC President pose. He, however, added that Uttam Kumar need not resign till an assessment of party’s defeat was done. (NS
