VHP threatened against allowing show of Munawar Faroqui in Delhi

Following a controversy over comedian Munawar Faruqui’s show in Hyderabad and subsequent communal flare-up in the state capital after Raja Singh’s profanity laden remarks against Prophet Muhammed PBUH, the nefarious winds are now blowing towards country’s capital where the Hindu fringe groups gave a call to ban Comedian’s show scheduled to be held in Delhi on August 28.

It is pertinent to mention here that the City of Hyderabad was on the boil after the local BJP MLA Raja Singh also known as a fire brand leader of Hindu community, made derogatory remarks against Prophet Muhammed PBUH.

Earlier, Raja Singh raked up a controversy over the proposed show of Munawar Faruqui in Hyderabad and threatened to make remarks against prophet Muhammed PBUH if the district administration allowed the show to happen in the city.

However, the comedian’s show went on without any inflammatory chatter against any community but it hurts the Raja Singh most who later found it a threat to his political career and resorted to insensitive chatter against the prophet PBUH.

Now, Vishwa Hindu Parishad also known as VHP, wrote a letter to Delhi Police seeking ban on the proposed show of the comedian. The VHP spokesperson Vinod Bansal tweets the letter copy submitted to Delhi Police on his twitter account and wrote “The Hindu community will be compelled to protest if the show will not be cancelled as the comedian usually known for wagging on Hindu deities during the banter and burlesque show.”

While pointing towards the recent communal flare-up in Hyderabad, the VHP spokesperson further wrote that “The city of Hyderabad was gripped under communal tension soon after the comedian’s show and the tense situation is still prevailing there.”

Urging Delhi police to cancel the show with immediate effect, he warned that the VHP and Bajrang Dal will not tolerate such shows of Munawar Faruqui in the capital and will protest against any such program if it is allowed to happen.
