Hyderabad: All India Kisan Congress Cell M. Kodanda Reddy today paid a courtesy call on Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu. He was accompanied by other Congress leaders like chairman of Telangana Kisan Congress cell Anvesh Reddy and party OBC Cell Vinay Kumar.
The leaders apprised the Vice President about the problems being faced by the farmers for want of crop insurance. They also told him about the problems being faced by the turmeric farmers in the State due to lack of minimum support price mechanism. They said the Vice President responded positively on the issue and assured of solving them by bringing it to the notice of the Union ministers and officials concerned at the earliest. (NSS)
