Vinod Kumar meets CEO, slams Congress canard against KCR

Hyderabad: TRS MP B Vinod Kumar today ridiculed that the Congress was indulging in “foolish” talk that caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi during his trip for eye-test, while Narendra Modi was on Japan tour. He flayed the Opposition for carrying out misinformation campaign against the ruling party.
Talking to mediapersons at the Secretariat here today after meeting with CEO Rajat Kumar on poll arrangements and giving clarification sought by EC about political meetings at Pragathi Bhavan and Ministers Quarters. It is common thing that the leaders used to meet the ministers and holding political meetings was not right, he maintained.
Vinod Kumar condemned the Opposition comments that DGP Mahender Reddy was acting like Khasim Razvi and doing favours to the ruling party for the elections. These remarks are baseless and the Opposition cannot make such meaningless comments, he said. “We have urged the EC permission for using helicopter by KCR for political campaign:, he said. The TRS has spoken about the norms of the poll code. The EC has accorded permission for star campaigning and 40 leaders can participate in the campaign for national and regional parties, he said.
While the election expenditure will be borne by the party, security for the Chief Minister will remain the same and the TRS was following poll code norms, Vinod Kumar explained. (NSS)
