Hyderabad: Congress pasty Candidate from Gajwel Assembly Constituency, Vonteru Pratap Reddy on Tuesday alleged that he was being hounded and harassed by police round the clock. He also alleged that the police were raiding his houses without any reason and issuing threats to him almost every day.
“Some police personnel in mufti came to my residence in four vehicles and surrounded me. One of the police abused me questioning my guts to contest against Chief Minister KCR. The entire police department is working in favour of KCR and acting as his agents. Sensing that KCR would not get any deposit in the election in his constituency, the police and TRS party workers are distributing money since the last 45 days.
They have arrested me illegally and kept me in police station till late night,” he said. Reddy alleged that the police after raiding his house, had ransacked the entire furniture in his house. He made it clear that he had sat on hunger strike to protest against the attitude of the police . He alleged that he was being framed in false cases by state minister Harish Rao as he was scared that his uncle would lose the election from Gajwel.(NSS)
