Water released from Jurala Project of Telangana

Gadwal: The water level in the Jurala project in Jogulamba district of Telangana has reached a full level and authorities have released 83,779 cusecs water to the downstream by lifting the seven gates.The total water level of the reservoir is 318.516 meters and currently stands at 318.100 meters. The dam currently has water storage of 8.810 TMC. The authorities lifted the 7 gates as 75,000 cusecs of water flowed into the dam from above.

Meanwhile, the flood flow to Srisailam continues as heavy water is being released from the Jurala. A total of 87,317 cusecs of water is being discharged from the Jurala.  The full water level of the reservoir was 885 feet and currently stands at 831.40 feet. The full capacity of the reservoir is 215.80 TMCs. However, the dam now has water storage of 55.87 TMC. 1600 cusecs of water are being released from Srisailam through Kalvakurthi lift irrigation Project.
