Worried traders at Dargah Jahangir Peeran feel a sigh of relief as Master Plan pushed post Ramzan

In order to dispel apprehensions of the traders doing business around the Dargah Jahangir Peeran in Shadnagar, a meeting was convened today by the MLA Y.Anjaiah Yadav near the Dargah.

Earlier, MLA Y.Anjaiah Yadav visited the Dargah area and met the traders to elicit their views regarding the proposed master plan. The MLA was accompanied by Chairman Telangana State Wakf Board Masiullah Khan, Board CEO Khaja Moinuddin, RDO Shadnagar Rajeshwari and other officials.

Later, a meeting was held to elicit the views of the traders doing business at the Dargah. The traders urged the local MLA to ensure no disturbance should be caused to their livelihood of poor traders during the master plan.

While addressing the traders, the Chairman Wakf Board Masiullah Khan made it clear that the master plan will go as per the schedule and have no bearing on the traders doing business outside the Dargah premises.

“Master plan will be implemented without disturbing the businesses as we know the traders solely count on the business at the Dargah. The works under the master plan will commence after the holy month of Ramzan so as to avoid inconvenience to the visitors and the traders of the Dargah,” the chairman assured.

Apart from a new mosque, he said, wazoo khanas for men and women, a Khawwali center, a meeting hall and other infrastructure related structures will be built in the first phase besides a guest house for visiting guests.

When the issue of property loss due to proposed master plan was brought to the chairman’s notice, the Chairman made it clear that they will ensure no loss of property or business will take place during the road widening drive at Dargah area.

It is also suggested to construct a bypass road from the Dargah Outer Road as an alternative so as not to create any inconvenience for vehicular traffic during the master plan works. They said, this will help provide a seamless passage to the visitors who are reaching Dargah.

While addressing the traders, the MLA Y.Anjaiah Yadav said the government will ensure no one will lose their business or employment during the master plan. He also said that the Chief Minister KCR himself inaugurat several development works inside the Dargah premises after completion of the master plan.

Apart from myriad number of traders and local people, the meeting also saw the presence of members of Mandal Praja Paishad Farooq Nagar Idris and Yadagiri besides some local TRS leaders.
