Yeddyurappa was used as ‘scape goat’: Kumaraswamy

H D Kumaraswamy Karnataka Chief Minister designate alleged that the BJP central leaders used Chief Ministerial Candidate B S Yeddyurappa as ‘scape goat’ and tarnished his image by asking him to go ahead with forming the Government without a simple majority and resign even before seeking the confidence vote.

Taking strong exception to BJP National President Amit Shah’s comments on Monday on alliance between Congress and JD(S),Mr Kumaraswamy, in a statement send from Delhi, said that “at last after one week he (Mr Shah) has woken up only to comment adversely against the alliance and questioning what we are going to achieve by this alliance and for what reasons celebrations were held in the State. If our (Congress-JD-S) alliance is unholy, does your (BJP’s) attempt to indulge in horse trading and trying to lure our MLAs who had won the election ethical? The prices of each MLA were fixed at more than Rs 100 crore is it holy act, from where you got that money, whether it was black money or white money. Only Mr Shah can answer can answer,” he claimed.

Mr Kumaraswamy said the Congress and JD(s) had come together on Secular Principles. There was a base for this alliance. It was aimed to protect the interests of People of Karnataka. ”It is unfortunate you are terming such an alliance to protect the interests of our State as unholy,” Mr Kumaraswamy added.
