The founder president of YSRTP YS Sharmila today launched her Praja Prasthsnam Padayatra from Chevella Assembly constituency of the state.
The mother of Sharmila, YS Vijayamma, who is the honorary president of the ruling YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh state, also took part in the event.
Addressing a public meeting on the occasion, she said that the main objective behind her padayatra was to bring back the welfare rule of her father and former CM YS Rajasekhara Reddy in the state. Targeting Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao she alleged that the CM had forgotten about the welfare of the people of the state and was only focussing on the welfare of his Ramulu members. He said that the padayatra of her father had laid a foundation for ensuring a welfare rule in the undivided AP state. “ I am following in the path shown by my father.
The main objective of my party is to defeat the anti-people KCR government in Telangana. Around 8000 farmers committed suicides during the last seven years. 30,000 people have lost their government jobs. Hundreds of unemployed you have committed suicides due to the non-release of job notifications by the state government. Many of the unemployed have turned into hamalis to eke out their livelihood. Although there 1.90 lakh vacant posts, the government is not issuing the job notifications,” she said.

Sharmila alleged that KCR had cheated all sections of the state. She alleged that CM KCR had destroyed the state, which was once a surplus state. She asked the CM for how long the BCs of the state would rear sheep and cattle. She said that there was no leader, who could question the mistakes of the TRS-led state government, during the last seven years. She dared state minister KTR to take part in her padayatra and added that she was ready to rub her nose on the floor in the presence of the minister if there was no problem in Telangana while asking the minister if he would resign from his post after finding out the problems of the people of the state. Would also target rival BJP which is leaving no stone turned to benefit by creating communal tensions in the state.
Golden Telangana is possible by Sharmila : YS Vijayamma
Meanwhile , YS Vijayamma said that the creation of the golden Telangana state was only possible by her daughter’s YARTP. She termed her husband YSR’s rule as the golden era of the undivided AP state. She told the public, Sharmila would fulfill all the aspirations of YSR. She reminded the gathering that Chevelle’s Praja prasthanam Yatra had created history and helped the congress party to return to power.
