Politician YS Sharmila today slammed the Chief Minister KCR of the State and demanded the CM to give postings to all staff nurses who have been waiting for their posting orders.
She also demanded the CM to include Covid virus treatment in the state-run Aarogyasri scheme. She further demanded the CM to fill up all vacant posts in the health department of the state.
She made these remarks during a video conference held with the selected staff nurses of the state. The selected nurses told Sharmila they wrote the exams in the year 2017 and added that the TSPSC declared their results in February this year. They told Sharmila that a total of 3076 nurses found eligible for the posts and added that the commission had selected only 2418 persons for the nurses while rejecting the remaining 658 nurses without showing any reason.

Speaking on the occasion Sharmila wondered as to how the state government was filling up the posts of nurses on a contract basis while ignoring the regularly selected nurses. Referring to the PRC report, she said that there 23724 vacancies in the health department of the state and asked the state government as to why it was not filling up the vacant post amid such a serious second wave of the virus. She alleged that the state government had reduced the allocations to the health department from 3.3 percent of the last year to 2.7 percent this year.
