YS Sharmila to tour flood-hit areas from today

YSRTP founder-president YS Sharmila has decided to tour the flood-hit areas in Telangana State. She would undertake her visit from Wednesday and tour the flood affected areas of undivided Adilabad, Karimnagar and Khammam districts.

In a statement here today, the party has said Sharmila would leave the State party headquarters at Lotus Pond at 7 am in the morning and visit Mancherial district. After reaching Mancherial at 12 pm, Sharmila would go to Poshaiah Gudem in the district. Later, she would undertake visit to different colonies of Mancherial from 3.30 pm. Sharmila would later go to Ramagundam and halt in the town night.

On July 22, Sharmila would leave for Manthani and hold an interactive session with the farmers of the area. She would also visit Annaram and Kannepally pump house at 2.30 pm. She would undertake the visit of different flood hit areas of Palimela mandal of Jayashankar Bhupalapalle district and make night halt at Bayyaram. On July 23, Sharmila will visit the Reddypalem of Bayyaram before leaving for Burgampahad. Later, she will visit Bhadrachalam.

Meanwhile, Sharmila took to her twitter handle and taunted Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao stating that while the Devadula lift irrigation project built by her father and former CM YSR 18 years back is still strong, the Kannepally and Annaram pump houses of Kaleswaram lift irrigation project built by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao were inundated due to the recent flood waters.

Stating that the Annaram pump house was submerged for 28 lakh cusecs of the flood water and Kannepally pump house for 28 lakh cusecs of water, she said the Devadula project was not submerged even after 29.50 lakh cusecs of the flood water and added that the Devadula project withstood the record amount of the flood water. She said the Devadula project was a classic example of a strong leader and added that Kaleswaram project was symbol of corruption.
